In honor of SABIAN’s friend and Drumming’s Global Ambassador, Dom Famularo, the 20″ HHX Dominator is a dark China unleashed. Dom famously played his Chinas striking both sides of the cymbal, so much so that he actually removed tension from the lips of his China cymbals. By applying a special lathing process to the top of the Dominator, SABIAN’s artisans emulated this effect in a China with a raw bell and larger HHX hammering. This makes for a freer, trashier instrument that opens up faster for a quick, dark attack, while it also lends the cymbal its wavy appearance.
